I am participating in the K-Dance Competition Camp in South Korea
In just over two weeks, I will pack my suitcase and travel to South Korea to participate in the K-Dance Competition Camp (KDCC) at Yonsei University Global Campus in Songdo. The camp lasts from July 25 to August 3, bringing together dancers from around the world for ten days of workshops, team training, professional instructors, and a K-Pop Cover Dance competition.
KDCC is a mix of training camp and competition, where all participants get to work with well-known instructors, take part in random play dance recordings, have professional photo and video shoots, and experience Korean dance and cultural energy up close. For me, this is a great opportunity to further develop, learn new styles, and gain inspiration for future Yokomotion projects.

Yokomotion at the Summer Festival in Fosnavåg! Here is a little taste of everything we did on stage. A collection of energy, joy, and a desire to dance from our children and youth. We are so proud of their efforts and everything they created that day.
Thanks to everyone who came and cheered, and to everyone who supports us throughout the year. If you are wondering if Yokomotion could be something for you or your child, this is a great way to see what we do and how we work.
💛 Welcome to our community!

Easter holiday at YokoMotion: Workshops and our very first Random Play Dance
During the Easter holiday, something special is happening with us. We have set up several special workshops, and one of them will feature a guest instructor that we are really excited to introduce. We will keep the name a bit secret for now, so stay tuned to our channels. An official announcement is coming soon.
We are also launching something we have wanted to do for a long time: our first free-for-all Random Play Dance. This will be an informal, energetic gathering where everyone can join. Come as you are, bring some friends, and join us for an hour of pure dance joy. No performance, no expectations, just movement and good vibes.
Do you have a song you want to include in the random dance? Leave your request on social media or send us a message. We will collect everything and create a playlist that suits you.
We can’t wait to dance into Easter together.
Nærnett visited during one of our adult workshop courses and created a warm and close report about community, mastery, and joy of dancing in the YokoMotion environment. In the segment, you will meet both participants and instructors who share why this offer means so much in everyday life.
The video clip was produced by journalism students at the University College of Volda for Nærnett.

A student studying journalism and radio at the University of Volda made a segment about our small presentation evening, where the children who have attended courses at YokoMotion got to showcase what they have learned for family and friends. It was a lovely moment with proud dancers, a lot of mastery, and a warm community around the young performers.
The radio clip is produced for Nærnett, and you can listen to the whole segment here.

⭐ We are in the process of starting the YokoMotion association
Published: February 25, 2026
YokoMotion has since 2025 been a small, warm, and lively dance offering for children and young people – with Yoko as the instructor and classes on Tuesdays. Now we are taking a new step: we have started the work of establishing our own association around the offering.
Why are we doing this?
Even though YokoMotion is still small and manageable, we want to build a stable foundation for the future. An association makes it possible to:
ensure continuity in the offering
apply for funding schemes suitable for cultural activities for children and young people
develop YokoMotion at a calm and sustainable pace
This is not about growing quickly, but about taking care of what we have already built up.
What does this mean for you?
Everyone will automatically be enrolled in the association. For those of you who are already involved, everything will remain as before:
same instructor
same warm environment
same Tuesday classes
The difference is that we are working behind the scenes to ensure that YokoMotion can continue to be a safe and inclusive offering for children and young people for a long time to come.
A small step – but an important one
Starting an association is a natural and important step for us. It gives us opportunities, security, and structure, without losing the closeness and personal touch that makes YokoMotion something truly special.
We look forward to sharing more when the association is ready for the next phase.

For meg er det musikk, dans og fellesskap
