Welcome to Yoko's dance lounge

My name is Yoko, and I would like to invite you to join me on the journey to YokoMotion, a new project offering K-pop dance workshops here in the region.

I started with classical ballet when I was six years old, but quickly realized that my heart was elsewhere. After a break, I returned to dance in 2019 when I began taking hip-hop classes. At the same time, my interest in Korean pop music grew, and I threw myself into learning the choreography of my favorite groups. Before I moved here, I was part of two cover dance groups, which gave me both experience and community.

In 2025, I got the chance to hold a workshop at a meeting in Ålesund. That experience truly ignited the spark and made me decide to focus on teaching others what I am passionate about.
Later, in November and December 2025, I had my first own workshops, and the response was fantastic! It gave me the courage to take the next step and start my own dance school.
From January 6, 2026, we will begin regular weekly classes on Tuesdays. The courses take place in blocks of six weeks, during which we learn a complete dance from start to finish. You can sign up for each block, thus choosing the pace and progression that suits you.

My goal is simple: to spread the joy of dance through movement, music, and community.
